Celebrating Service, Community & Impact: Spring into Action with The Dolan Fund
We’re stepping into spring with full hearts and a calendar packed with gratitude, growth, and giving. After a season of incredible service projects and unforgettable community moments, The Dolan Fund is thrilled to share highlights from this past month and preview some exciting things on the horizon.
April in Action: Kits, Kindness, and Community
April was a month to remember, thanks to the generosity and commitment of our partners and volunteers:
- ASTM led the charge by assembling over 400 music therapy kits, helping us bring joy and healing through music to children receiving care.
- Foundations Community Partnership gathered their team to create sensory bags, providing comfort and support to kids navigating difficult medical experiences.
- Wegmans showed up in a big way with a hands-on project to assemble Kolbe Overnight Bags, offering essential items for children facing unexpected hospital stays.
- Our friends at Gwynedd Mercy Academy also stepped up to create Kolbe Overnight Bags, turning compassion into action once again.
We are especially grateful to the Philadelphia Phillies, who donated 100 game tickets for Dolan Fund staff, volunteers and families. This was more than just a night at the ballpark—it was a celebration of the hands and hearts that make our mission possible. Before the first pitch, we hosted a tailgate party with food, fun, and fundraising—all proceeds going directly to support our financial assistance programs.
And, speaking of unforgettable days, we recently welcomed over 350 guests aboard the Spirit of Philadelphia for a relaxing day of respite on the water. For families navigating complex healthcare journeys, this was more than a cruise—it was a chance to simply breathe, connect, and be cared for.
Looking Ahead: May Momentum
As the season turns, we’re already looking forward to what’s next:
Delco Gives starts May 8-9! This vibrant community fundraising event will rally support for nonprofits throughout Delaware County. We’re excited to take part and hope you’ll join us in spreading the word—and the love.
