Recognizing that insurance companies do not cover every cost to support children with high medical needs, the Dolan Fund offers financial assistance. Our goal is to support meeting unmet needs for families by directly paying vendors for costs incurred when eligibility criteria is met.
Traveling for treatment, care and hospitalization comes with a high and often unexpected financial burden for families. Kobe Hopeful Nights aims to cover a portion of a family’s transportation and lodging expenses so that children continue to have access to much needed care.
The Holiday Adopt-a-Family Program assists families of children with special healthcare needs, fill a wish list of holiday gifts and gift cards. Families are matched with a sponsor from the community who supports a family and their family members directly to sweeten their holiday and lift their spirits.
Family Fun Days are scheduled periodically throughout the year to provide children, parents, and program manager with a break from the challenges they face on a daily basis.

Connecting families experiencing similar challenges together for family-to-family support yields decreased stress levels, feelings of normalcy and camaraderie amongst their peers. The Dolan Fund is pleased to offer support groups to facilitate these connections and often friendships amongst the Dolan community.
